Dresden's landmark is the beautiful ZWINGER, Germany's most imposing late-baroque building. It plays host to the OLD MASTERS GALLERY and the beautiful PORCELAIN COLLECTION. Another main attraction of the city is the impressive building of the SEMPER OPERA HOUSE, which is renowned for it's magnificent interior decoration. The CATHOLIC COURT CHURCH represents a unique blend of Roman and German Baroque architecture.

Dresden's most beautiful street is the KOENIGSTRASSE, restored to its former baroque magnificence. It plays host to luxury arcades and first-class restaurants. The ALBERTINUM brings together museums of international standard under its roof - the GREEN VAULT TREASURE COLLECTION and the NEW MASTERS GALLERY. Don't miss PFUND's MOLKEREI - the world's most beautiful milk-shop - with a display of fancifully-arranged flagstones.

Surrounding Highlights
There are beautiful trips with the historical paddle-steamer fleet on the Elbe to Albrechtsberg palace and to the bizarre sandstone rocks of Saxon Switzerland. Downstream of the Elbe lies Meissen, with the famous porcelain factory. To the west there is the Moritzburg, one of Europe's most beautiful water palaces.
