HAMBURG, the gateway
to the world, is dotted with urban greenways and criss-crossed by waterways
and canals leading off the Alster Lake. The city is dominated by its harbour
with its giant container ships. During the day Hamburg's citizens indulge
in shopping in one of the countless luxury arcardes or to a visit to one
of the city's 40 museums. The nightlife of a city that never sleeps can
be experienced on the Reeperbahn, reputed for being the world's most tempting
mile.

& Attractions
ST MICHAELIS
is northern Germany's most important Baroque church and Hamburg's landmark.
Next to it are the KRAMERAMTSSTUBEN, a cluster of quaint, half-timbered
houses. The beautiful CITY HALL is an imposing neo-Renaissance
sandstone structure and the big ALSTER LAKE in the heart of Hamburg
is a paradise for water-sports. The town is dominated by the PORT OF
HAMBURG. The best way to view the port and the SPEICHERSTADT,
the world's oldest warehouse complex, is by a harbour cruise.
Hamburg
is, without a doubt, Germany's MUSICALS capital. The REEPERBAHN
is the pulse of the city's nightlife with pubs, bars, theatres, discotheques,
red-light establishments and restaurants. On Sunday morning vendors can
be found passionately selling all kinds of products at Hamburg's oldest
and most traditional market, the FISCH MARKET.
